Gm rear window defroster repair

I did buy it used and im well out of my bumper to bumper. im hoping to get a look at it today to see what I can find. There hasnt been anything near the rear window that would cause any nicks or anything. Thats what leads me to think it was something I did. Of course it hasnt been cold enough to use the defroster either so I could be way off base. Good question on rear window defroster repair.
